Privacy Policy

This is a working draft provided for the client's solicitor to review before publication. It is not yet legal advice and should be verified against current UK data protection law.

AIMCQ.co.uk ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

  • Account information. When you register we store your email address, which is managed on our behalf by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cognito. We do not store your password.
  • Quiz progress. We record your quiz sessions, answers, scores and per-subject statistics so we can show your dashboard and track your learning over time.
  • Subscription details. We keep a record of which modules you subscribe to and your subscription status so we can give you access to the content you have paid for.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service: to authenticate you, deliver the courses and modules you subscribe to, track your progress, and manage billing. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. These are required for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers — we only receive a reference to your subscription and its status. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep certain records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
